CITY OF MITCHAM – CAPTURING HISTORY COMPETITION

About Time - SA History Festival

The Mitcham Council’s Heritage Research Centre is conducting a digital photography competition as part of the South Australian History Festival in May.

The theme of the competition is to photograph a listed Heritage Place within the City of Mitcham.

The competition runs throughout May and entries are to be emailed to: CapturingHistory@mitchamcouncil.sa.gov.au

There are cash prizes in all three categories.

APS Autumn National Judging

The 2013 APS Autumn National is being judged in Adelaide this year. The judging will take place at the Centre for Creative Photography, 138 Richmond Road, MARLESTON from 9.30 a.m. on Saturday 25th May.

Typically, some 40 -50 Audio-Visual sequences are entered, and anyone interested in the AV medium is most welcome to attend. Judging is likely to take most of the day. Although the Centre has kitchen facilities, those attending are asked to bring their own tea, coffee etc, and lunch if planning to spend the whole day at the judging.

There will be breaks for morning and afternoon tea and lunch.

2013 Marden Senior College Photography Exhibition

This exhibition showcases a collection of photographic works by students of Marden College.  This year past students and graduates from 2012 MSC courses exhibit together, providing a glimpse of their personal journeys and passions.

Exhibition Launch: Thursday 14th March 6 pm – 8 pm.

Venue: Burnside City Council Atrium, 401 Greenhill Road, Tusmore.

Exhibition open:  12th to 28th March 2013.

Light on the Land Workshops

The 2013 Light on the Land Flinders Ranges workshop has now been confirmed for August 19 to 25.  It will again be based at Merna Mora Station, on the Moralana Creek between Hawker and Parachilna.  Please note that limited places are also available for the Advanced Portrait Session to be held on 6 April 2013.  More information, and registration forms can be found on the Courses and Workshops page.
