Workshop Part 1: Zoom Session, Time: 7 April 7:30 pm.
During the Zoom session, you’ll receive a brief overview of recommended equipment, the workshop’s location, the different types of light you can expect, and the potential opportunities it offers. We’ll also showcase examples of night photography and delve into how the images were captured and processed.
Workshop Part 2: Meeting place:
Meet at the southern end of the River Torrens Pedestrian Bridge. During the workshop, we’ll work in the area between the bridge and Montefiore Road, with excursions to visit some buildings towards North Terrace. It’s important that the group keeps together.
Time: 9 April 5:30 pm. At that time the sun will be low on the northwestern horizon.
Astronomical events:
Sunset: 5:59 pm
Moon rise: 4:17 pm The moon will be 88% full and 14 degrees above the horizon.
End civil twilight 6:25 pm
End nautical twilight: 6:54 pm
End astronomical twilight: 7:24 pm
Because the light changes rapidly, you will have to work quickly to take advantage of a particular opportunity.

He has presented workshops in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and many camera clubs, as well as at the Australian Photographic Society Convention in 2018. Field trip requirements
These will be discussed more fully during the Zoom session, but this is a summary.
A camera capable of capturing RAW images.
Zoom lenses help compose images when buildings and other objects like trees or street furniture restrict the camera’s position. While primes may be used, switching lenses to change focal length can be inconvenient when you’re constantly moving.
A 24-70 mm zoom lens is versatile for architectural work. Anything between 24 and 200 mm is useful. Longer focal lengths assist in picking out building details. Extreme wide angle lenses are needed for shooting interiors.
A tripod is necessary.
Travel light. Too much gear can be a distraction.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing to suit weather conditions.
Cost: $100 per person.
Transportation and refreshments are at the participant’s expense.
