Hello SAPF Members, welcome to Spring 2023 and a new season to venture out and enjoy our photography.

2023 60th Annual Exhibition

Congratulations to all the winners and those who gained acceptances. The catalogue has been sent to all entrants, as well as being posted on the SAPF website here. The top 100 print images will be displayed in the Adelaide Central Plaza from 6-16 October 2023, where you can see the other accepted prints that were not on display at the Gala Presentation Night. A video of the digital acceptances and above will be available soon. Staging the event takes a huge effort, and special thanks go to Paula, the Exhibition Coordinator, and her team of helpers, especially VP David, who prepared and presented all the audio-visual material for the exhibition. A huge thank you to everyone who supported the new format by entering and/or attending the Gala night.

Delegates Meeting

A midterm Delegates’ Meeting has been scheduled at 7:00 pm, Friday, 27th October 2023, at the Gartrell Church Hall. We will be providing supper after the meeting to encourage attendees to socialise and chat. This meeting is a very important part of the management of your Federation, so please send one or two Delegates to this meeting, both to read your Club’s annual report and to take the opportunity to present your Club’s views on future SAPF activities. Planning for 2024 will begin with the Management Committee meeting in November, and we would appreciate suggestions and/or guidance in areas such as communication, training, resources, website, exhibitions, etc.

An Agenda will be sent out in mid-October. If you cannot send one of your own members, please take advantage of the Proxy system to share your club’s views at this meeting.

Club Liaison

I was able to attend several Clubs over the past three months. Thank you to all those who made me feel very welcome and who shared some of their Club’s images. Please don’t forget to let me or the Secretary know if your Club is holding any special events so that the website can promote them to other Club members who might like to visit and/or attend.  You may have noticed that we have a new format for Events – a Calendar for you all to view what’s happening.
